Soul & Sovereignty Imbolc Workshop

Imbolc is the midway point between winter and spring and comes from the celtic word meaning “in the belly” and refers to the time of year animals are getting ready to give birth to new life. The ground is starting to thaw and soften. Perhaps even new signs of plant life are also coming forth. Imbolc also marks an ancient Celtic fire festival celebrating the goddess, Brighid.  The celts honored her and asked her to evoke a blessing of fertility that comes with spring. She  was also said to have watched over & protected the Bards of Ireland who were solely in charge of creating stories, song and poetry as they gathered news from each part of Ireland. Presently, she is seen as a goddess who helps invoke inspiration, creative thought and blesses the vision with abundance.
